THIMM sets itself science-based climate targets – approved by the SBTi
News | 07/21/2026
The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) has approved THIMM’s near-term science-based emissions reduction target. As a manufacturer of corrugated cardboard packaging and displays, THIMM is thus among the companies aligning their contribution to climate protection with an internationally recognised standard.
The validated targets in full:
- THIMM Group GmbH + Co. KG commits to reduce absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions 50.0% by 2034 from a 2024 base year.
- THIMM Group GmbH + Co. KG also commits to reduce absolute scope 3 GHG emissions 30.0% within the same timeframe.
These measurable and traceable emissions reduction targets create transparency for our customers, suppliers and partners. In doing so, they form a reliable basis for jointly advancing sustainable value chains. Against the backdrop of national and international climate targets, THIMM takes responsibility for its own emissions and aligns its actions with scientifically sound climate targets. In this way, the company creates the conditions for sustainable and future-proof development.
