How is net zero packaging created?
The CO2e footprint of your products is becoming increasingly important. Climate protection is essential and the demand for climate-neutral packaging is increasing. THIMM develops sustainable packaging solutions, optimises them with regard to resources and material consumption and produces them in an environmentally-friendly way.
We test every CO2e source in packaging production known to us and we are committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions. However, packaging can still not be produced in a totally climate-neutral manner without any CO2e emissions. Unavoidable CO2e emissions are generated from the production to the delivery of packaging.
In order to offset these emissions, we are collaborating with ClimatePartner to offer financial offsetting for CO2e emissions. This makes your packaging and displays climate-neutral. We calculate the CO2e emissions of your order using validated data and tested tools. These CO2e emissions can be offset by investments in climate protection projects. This means you are then using climate-neutral packaging.
Financial climate contribution means offsetting, not zero emissions.
The CO2e volume to be offset is always different and depends on other factors in addition to packaging quantities. The calculation is based on the certified CCF (Corporate/Company Carbon Footprint) of THIMM.
THIMM’s expertise and sustainable production help keep any CO2e emissions from packaging as low as possible.You can also benefit from this. The more CO2e THIMM avoids or reduces in advance, the less CO2e remains to be offset.

The additional cost contribution for a CO2e offset is on average less than one percent of the packaging price.

Transparent communication on packaging
Offset climate-neutral packaging provides a good surface for the placement of the ClimatePartner “climate-neutral packaging” label.
This gives customers and consumers the opportunity to find out more about the climate neutrality of their packaging. Receive a label for your packaging including an individual tracking ID number for communication. The contribution to climate protection can be viewed online at any time by scanning the corresponding QR code or entering the ID number on the ClimatePartner website (www.climatepartner.com). The CO2e offset is also certified. This means that all information on emission offsets can be traced transparently.
