For the refrigeration elements in the temperature-controlled packaging easy2cool uses “paperfloc”, an insulating blanket made from natural fibres (enclosed with polyethylene film) and “easyAkku” water-based cooling batteries or dry ice. The sustainable “paperfloc” insulation technology is an environmental and high-performance alternative to polystyrene boxes and within the corrugated cardboard outer packaging creates a high insulation effect and high impact absorption. easy2cool manages the intensity and duration of the refrigeration through dry ice (for deep-frozen products) and by “easy-akku” water-based cooling batteries (for refrigerated products). These can be reused an almost infinite number of times.

Thanks to the refrigeration elements, easy2cool secures the effective insulation and constant refrigeration of products over a period of at least 48 hours. The temperature-controlled packaging contains inlays to subdivide it into different temperature zones which means that deep-frozen, refrigerated and non-refrigerated products can be easily shipped together in one combined delivery. In the food sector, for example, temperature-controlled packaging can be put to a wide range of uses from deep-frozen food to non-refrigerated food. A water-repellent polyethylene coating makes the temperature-controlled packaging resistant to condensation and other liquids. The design features and specific material properties ensure that the temperature-controlled packaging provides optimum product protection.
