To support the sale of spices, Vitana, a company belonging to the group Orkla Foods Czech Republic and Slovakia, has launched its Gorilla campaign, which also includes new sales trays. These sales trays will boost the profile of the customer's point of sale thanks to the cheerful printing and symbols of the campaign - gorilla figures, which are not only printed on the sales trays, but also cut out. The sales trays were made with contemporary digital technologies that optimized the time and cost of preparing the order.
Inside each printing version of the sales trays, there are 4 types of spices, the products are attractively presented to the consumer in a well-visible manner. The sales tray thereby actively contributes to sales support. The printing of sales trays is harmonised with the printing on the product bags, which increases the recognisability of the brand.
Sales trays are made in two print versions: for grill seasoning and salad dressings. Two different printing motifs were easy to realize thanks to digital printing. With digital printing, printing plates are not needed, which reduces the cost and time to prepare and produce them. There are no limits for printing versions of sales trays by digital printing, it is possible to produce as many graphic variations as needed to support a customer's campaign. This combines flexibility and speed with individualisation and high colour quality.
In addition to different printing motifs, the sales trays also differ in the detail of the cut-out on their facing side, where gorilla figures are cut out, including the finest details. Mr. Gorilla is depicted on the sales tray for grill seasoning, and Ms. Gorilla is depicted on the sales trays for salad dressings. Both of these figures have a different shape and the outlines - of two different cuts would mean two cutting tools in an analogue production method. But not with a digital laser cut! The laser cutting technology thereby ensures full variability of the carved motifs and there is nothing stopping you from having a different sales trays for each campaign. Digital laser cutting has made it possible to cut out both contours of the gorilla with great precision down to the last detail, which would be very difficult or indeed entirely impossible with the classic analog cutting method.
