Exotic plants and spices coupled with high-quality essences make Opihr Oriental Spiced Gin a tasty experience. The aromas of Asia and the ancient Spice Route from distant lands are reflected in the high-quality gin.
Creating a high-impact setting for this pleasure required a matching secondary placement and an attractive design.
This pallet sheathing was developed as a product expansion of an existing quarter-size pallet display. The objective was to place only a few parts with a low level of effort to achieve the highest possible effectiveness. The pallet sheathing recalls a tuk-tuk, a so-called autorickshaw, famous in Africa and Asia. The three-wheeled vehicle was designed to reflect the oriental pattern of the gin and to promote recognition of the Opihr logo on the gin bottle.
The body consists of a single-part ring that is glued and used as the direct pallet sheathing. Added to this is the contour-punched cut-out in the form of a driver's cabin is hung onto the pallet sheathing.
An additional body in the form and design of a wooden crate can also be placed on top of the pallet sheathing. There is space for the gin bottles both on the top and in the middle section. The goods can be removed from the pallet sheathing from two sides in the middle section and 360° from above.
The pallet sheathing won a Bronze Indian award in the POPAI D-A-CH 2019 competition in the “Drinks” category.
