THIMM develops high-quality system packaging for individual products for the best possible transportation of sensitive products. As a combination of different materials, system packaging is ideally suited for the transportation and storage of unique and sensitive products.
The outer packaging consists of an accessible plywood box which protects the "inner core" of the system packaging from external influences. System packaging can vary in size and material combination depending on your products. Plastic or defender boxes can also be used as alternatives.
The complex structure of the packaging system can also be found inside the packaging. By using different foams and other materials, the protective system packaging is built around the customer product. Black pre-cut and calculated PU cushioning foams are used to absorb the biggest external forces that can impact the system packaging during transport. However, the black PU foams not only protect the product, but also hold a folding corrugated cardboard box in place inside the system packaging. Further (white) cushioning foam frames are integrated into the system packaging inside the folding corrugated cardboard box. These are also used for protection during transportation and secure another important area of the system packaging. At the centre of the assembled packaging is an EPP box, which is held in place by the surrounding white foam frames. An aluminium box can also be used as an alternative for heavier products.
The EPP box is equipped with more dense foam in the interior, which can be cleaned in accordance with cleanroom class 6 requirements. Adapted to the product contours, the foam encloses and protects the sensitive product in the system packaging.
Additional climate chamber tests or drop tests can be performed to test the product protection and efficiency of the system packaging. The results are collected and certified by independent test laboratories.
