It consists mainly of wood and corrugated cardboard, along with some padding and connection elements. These elements make the transportation packaging for 3D-printers from THIMM significantly lighter than a conventional wooden box. Connection elements such as THIMM-Connect, make them easy to handle and assemble. In addition, the risk of injury is reduced because the wooden sides do not need to be screwed together.
Our certified Rhinoplate® is a four-fluted corrugated cardboard and ensures maximum stability. The 3D-printer is covered by this on all sides. RhinoPlate® transportation packaging can be used for Europe-wide transport and overseas shipments. The corrugated cardboard has delivered first-class test results in maritime climates with 20°C and 90 percent humidity, can withstand extreme climate conditions and has very good perforation resistance.
The lid is another advantage that makes the transportation packaging very practical for 3D-printers. Its sturdy design means it can be used as a ramp, so the packing and unpacking the 3D printer requires little effort.
