Herbadent uses a sustainable set of corrugated cardboard fixings for sending its traditional medicinal wine. Extracts of various medicinal herbs have been the basic ingredient of medicinal wines produced by the company since 1897. For shipping of these wines, the sustainable set of fixings produced by THIMM pack’n’display replaced the polystyrene fixations that were used until then. This alternative packaging solution goes perfectly hand in hand with the sustainable philosophy of the brand. The set of fixings made of corrugated cardboard is a sustainable solution and can be easily recycled as waste paper.
How can a corrugated cardboard packaging actually protect a glass bottle during shipping? Very easily! The wine bottle is simply inserted from the top into the packaging, which is then closed on both sides with corrugated cardboard partitions. These partitions on the bottom and the top of the packaging create deformation zones that absorb any impact and thanks to which the glass bottle remains perfectly protected during transport. A sufficiently strong and durable type of corrugated cardboard was used for the sustainable set of fixings, thanks to which medicinal wine is safely protected from external influences. Wine placed inside the corrugated cardboard fixation is then only inserted into the shipping box and everything is safely prepared for the journey to the customer. Fixation is produced in different variants for different sizes of wine bottles.
