Packaging developed for transmission systems requires a high level of precision. During transportation and storage the transmission systems must be protected from vibrations and external influences. The complexity of the transmission systems and a high net weight of about 75 kilogrammes makes the logistical process a challenge.
THIMM has developed customised and sustainable packaging made from corrugated cardboard for transmission systems . The use of RhinoPlate heavy-duty corrugated cardboard and a tray made from corrugated cardboard enable the transmission systems to be fixed firmly inside the packaging. The tray separates the transmission systems from each other so there is always enough space for four transmission systems in each package. Every individual transmission system is held in place by a recessed, custom-cut corrugated cardboard - wrap around.
A corrugated cardboard ring surrounding the four transmission systems gives the-transmission system packaging the requisite stability. An individually fabricated or standardised wooden pallet forms the base for the packaging for the transmission systems. The packaging for transmission systems is closed with a corrugated cardboard sleeve.
Optimised for container shipment, the packaging for transmission systems is also suitable for transportation by HGV, sea- and air-freight. The packaging for transmission systems can be stacked in the warehouse and also during transportation.
