Herbadent is a Czech brand specializing in dental hygiene products. In order to promote sales, the customer sends toothbrushes as samples to dentists in order to draw attention to their product. THIMM produced packaging for product samples that was intended to amaze the dentists. Product sample packaging should be different, out of the ordinary and eye-catching. This has been achieved perfectly thanks to a combination of laser cutting and digital printing.
On opening the packaging for product samples, the digitally printed inside lid catches the eye immediately. Another highlight is the laser-cut lettering of the Herbadent brand and the image of a toothbrush.Digital printing saves time and money by eliminating the need for additional printing plates. Digital printing is perfect for mailings like this, as it is suitable for short runs. The laser punch cuts out the motifs with great accuracy and precision and is also suitable for small runs. Even the finest details can be realised. No punching tools are required and so the customer can adapt or update their personalised shipping packaging as often as they wish and within a very short time.
The packaging for product samples can be used to ship either four or eight toothbrushes. The primary packaging for the toothbrushes is secured in an inlay. The height of the inlay can be adjusted in the packaging for product samples to the number of toothbrushes shipped. The packaging for product samples also includes a printed corrugated cardboard pre-cut containing information about the toothbrushes.
Since the unpacking experience also has a special role to play, the packaging for product samples was sealed with a self-adhesive strip. The customer had to open the packaging using the tear strip. This ensures easy packaging and opening of the packaging.
