The designers in THIMM pack’n’display, who designed the packaging for a limited edition of Třemošenská uzenina’s meat products, are behind the very interesting idea of how to breathe a second life into the packaging. This unique packaging will delight customers who will be happy to return to the same product or brand.
Třemošenská uzenina delivers its meat products to the e-shop Rohlik.cz, where the customers have the opportunity to buy products in this unique packaging. After use, the packaging can easily be turned into a special flowerpot. Ordinary packaging, which would normally end up in a trash bin after consuming the product, turns into a unique packaging with a second life. In addition, a unique QR code is printed directly on the packaging, after which customers have the opportunity to participate in the competition for gift packaging of products. For the smooth running of this competition, it was necessary to produce hundreds of packages with different variants of QR codes, so that each winner has their own unique code on the package and this is an opportunity for digital printing.
The food packaging is made of corrugated cardboard, sustainable and environmentally friendly material and is an ideal alternative to plastic or aluminium packaging. The packaging consists of a cover and baking form THIMM Click4Tray made of corrugated cardboard foodWave® | heatproof suitable for direct contact with food and for baking. Thanks to the use of this form, the packaging is heat-resistant and greaseproof. Therefore, the customer can easily bake the purchased meat product in an oven or a microwave.
The size of the THIMM Click4Tray packaging can be individually adapted to different product shapes. The design of the packaging, which reminisces a wooden box, was created thanks to the use of digital printing technology. Finely carved motifs were created thanks to digital laser cutting technology. On the inside of the packaging, there are also laser-cut eggs and a chicken, which the customer can use to decorate the flowerpot according to his wishes. The ordinary packaging suddenly becomes a special household accessory.
