The Walraven Company prepared a surprise for its employees in the form of a gift box with products inside. This traditional company wanted to appreciate the work of its employees in this way. THIMM pack’n’display came up with a very original packaging solution, which combined wicker basket with products with a corrugated gift box.
Christmas gift packaging with a second life is especially interesting with its original constructional solution. Holes are prepared on the upper side of the lid of the box, through which the ear of the basket can simply be threaded and the gift packaging can then be closed. However, that is not the only constructional peculiarity of this unique packaging. The gift packaging is double-sided - both the outside and the inside of the packaging are digitally printed. After the first use, the packaging can easily be turned inside out and the original packaging turns into a second gift packaging in a second, which can be repeatedly gifted to someone. Thanks to this, the packaging gains a second life. For digital printing, printing blocks are not required, so the costs and time of their preparation and production are reduced, therefore it is easy and quick to prepare any other printing motifs, e.g. for seasonal goods or limited editions. In the case of Christmas gift packaging with a second life, personalization is also possible, when motifs tailored to a specific person are printed on a wrapper. The inside of the packaging contains Christmas-themed images and is great for a secondary use as a gift box for Christmas. In addition, the gift packaging with a second life contains adhesive tape thanks to which the packaging can be easily closed. Thanks to the integrated tear-off perforation, the recipient opens the box easily and quickly.
