Klaus Thimm becomes a personally liable shareholder alongside his father

Establishment of own European sales network in France, the Netherlands and Denmark

Introduction of the patented belt pre-press process for high-quality packaging printing

Corporate strategy expands to cover central and eastern Europe as well as specialisation and large-scale customer strategy

1994

Market entry in the Czech Republic with the construction of a corrugated cardboard factory on a green field site near Prague

1996

Construction of the central printing works for Flexo pre-press in Northeim

1999

Introduction of the corporate umbrella brand THIMM - THE HIGHPACK COMPANY and division of the range of products and services into the Packaging, Print, Display, Service (multiple materials) and Consulting divisions.

2000

Retirement of Klaus Thimm from operations and move to the advisory board. Mathias Schliep takes over as managing director.

Expansion of the display division due to the takeover of a manufacturer in this market segment

Market entry in Romania and construction of a new factory to expand further in eastern Europe

Purchase of a packaging specialist for multiple materials in southern Germany

New corporate identity under the THIMM THE HIGHPACK GROUP umbrella brand. All divisions receive their own logo so that they can independently develop in their market segments.

Strategic partnership with Christiansen Print (Ilsenburg); expansion of the market position as the largest Flexo pre-press in Europe for the corrugated cardboard industry

2011

Expansion of the production network in central and eastern Europe as a result of the majority shareholding in a corrugated cardboard factory in southern Poland within the framework of a joint venture with the Spanish packaging company SAICA

2013

Acquisition of Hohendahl Wellkarton GmbH (Essen) as third site of THIMM Display

Commissioning of new production locations in the Bremen freight centre and Duisburg port

Acquisition of REKA plant in Lohhof and foundation of THIMM Verpackung Süd
